Scope

This symposium focuses on various mechanical phenomena that appear on different scales in materials, including but not limited to:

Access

To reach the symposium venue at Kyoto Research Park (KRP), Building 1 (Science Hall) from Kyoto Station:

  1. Go to the JR Sagano Line (also called the JR San-in Line) platform at Kyoto Station. This line is part of the JR West network and typically departs from platforms 31–33.
  2. Take a local train bound for Saga-Arashiyama or Kameoka. Avoid limited express trains, as they may skip Tambaguchi Station.
  3. Get off at Tambaguchi Station — the next stop. The ride takes approximately 3 minutes.
  4. Exit the station and follow the signs to Kyoto Research Park (Building 1, Science Hall).
